Required Skills and Abilities:
Lead Scientist should have extensive experience designing analytical methods using a variety of techniques including Electrophoresis, Gel Filtration, HPLC, Reversed Phase Chromatography, Gas Chromatography or similar. Knowledge of methods to test for leachables and extractables in semi-solid formulations as well as product degradation.
Education:
PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or similar.
Duties:
Create methods for product characterization using various standard analytical tests including Gel or Capillary Electrophoresis, HPLC, Gel Filtration, Normal Phase and Reversed Phase Chromatography or similar techniques.
Determine methods and tests to identify, separate or characterize active pharmaceutical ingredients in creams, gels, ointments or similar semi-solid formulations.
Interact with key parties in the pursuit of approval from the FDA in Abbreviated New Drug Application processes.
Generous compensation plan with base salary up to $100,000 based on experience, end of year bonuses, long term incentives including matched 401(k) and pension plan. Full medical benefits included.
